Blog - December Overview

Hi Blog, 

November was over... Many things had happened, including some thought processes, and many life changes which somehow made me lose any faith in myself cold hard facts, slapped my face like strangers becoming friends, and having many promises and assurance, but because of this stupid me uno-reversed, from friends to become acquaintances... It hurts to cut the memory shards away from my memory bank because it is too painful to memorise as it becomes a reminder to remind how flawed I am.

Besides... Being Upset is just a sign of being a weakness while everyone can just move on. I guess... Like being a shxt is to discard and leave behind; only when I was able to boost the plant's growth (showed result which is what others want to see) did they just enjoy the "contribution" that they had left.

Anyway... It is just too tired to think about it... I guess... 2023 is about to come to an end... I should move on... The best is to remember nothing will last, I just have to salvage the good memory shards and learn to treasure them... Than discard them. Similar to urbexation, how I enjoy the last bits of the memory shards and slowly, they will become part of the history and forgotten by many; but it doesn't matter anymore because what matters, is that I remember them.

Before 2023 ends, I will end one Trisuit theme I completed in 2021. Oh my, why did I keep it until now?

I found a tree with an interesting square root frame.

I thought it would be a nice last theme for 2023; my blog is all about pictures so standing beside the root frame tree might able to get some blessing from it.

Today was my 2nd day of leave for 2023. My friends wanted to go to the island and needed me to bring them along. Although I had gone to the Island with XY and BW... Since I had promised I would fulfil my words.

Today's weather would be a chilled one.

I checked today's tidal schedule, and it seemed like there was a low tide in the morning timing. I only hope today won't dampen my mood.

Personal - No Water Island Visit

XY and BW decided to take a trip to Lazarus Island while they were both in Singapore. XY had to return to Singapore temporarily to sort out his citizenship issues and BW had some leave days to spare. It was a farewell for XY and a first-time experience for BW.

Thank Heaven for such a sunny morning.

I decided to take a trip to the island, as I had not visited it with my close friends for a long time. I expected it to be a fun and relaxing experience.

Blog - November Overview

Hi Blog,

It is going to be the last two months of 2023. Time flies so fast, and how much or less I have done... I might make a post to reflect my 2023 in a general view. There were ups and downs... Wanted to talk about it... It always seems like everyone has a solution while making me feel like I have no plan or am not aware at all...

Fighting against my negativity is one thing that I am working towards... For every 100 negativity, I felt that I had tried to overcome it for like 70 of them. Like myself in costume... Managed to feel less inferior than before even though I will still feel inferior; which will become one of the topics I will cover in the future.

These days, I was so busy that I had many pocket time to go for a short swim... I had not been jogging at all... Missed jogging and taking my waifu out too...

Personal - Went Nuts Challenge

Hi Blog,

Yes as titled, this month was my test again for NNN (No Nut November). Two years ago, I managed to last until 16 days, quite torturing. One of the NNN rules is to last for 30 days.

6th Nov 2023 - D1- Messy room with a new cupboard and my house (especially the kitchen) was still having renovation so some items were still parked in my room. A perfect moment to start my trial.

Why did I want to do NNN? Because I am supposed to test my limit and how many days I can last. Please don't judge me.

Trip - Old Bird Bird Park II

It's a long weekend this week because of Deepavali, but I didn't get enough rest at all. Had to attend different meetings/groups with different agendas. I only had today's morning window for myself.

Today I would want to re-visit Bird Bird Park (in case, you had missed out on my previous visit) because I saw a picture of a monorail 🚝 track taken by one of the urbex rangers. I wanted that shot! And this place will be taken over by some companies by the end of this year.

Have not been jogging for quite a while now... I feel so lousy thinking of it...

Was it due to my own emotions affecting my motivation and determination?

Well, I can't deny it and I won't want to point fingers... I will just take the fault onto myself... Don't carry demigods' genes... Don't have enough wealth to subscribe to the church of gym... Lousy and flawed personality... Don't ever have the confidence to gym in front of fit gods...

Trip - Bintan - Nirwana Gardens

Hi Blog,

What exciting news for me that I got a chance to visit Bintan Resort! I heard a lot about that place but only had a chance to explore that country with someone who has experience there.

I foreseen that there won't be food for a vegetarian nerd like me so I will go with some backup.

Why so? Usually, those who go to Bintan resorts are families, couples, and a group of friends... I am single... Bringing my mother to the resort is not a great idea without anyone who can or anything to keep my mother entertained...

Blog - October Overview

Hi Blog,

These days I had a lightning strike moment. For those who might know me... I am a low self-esteem person since I was young. I learned that everyone will have their unique darkness to hold us back or affect us in any way. I wished to get out of it but I knew I wouldn't be able to, even if I did what others are doing (like going to the gym to become a bufflord which I can't afford the subscription) these days.

Because it is the darkness that I carry in me so I need to do something about it. I need to learn to self-love. Not egotistical but to be more contented, and give myself more credit. So for the first time, I made a first picture for the month a picture of me in a swimming trunk.

Honestly, I realized my purpose of having this blog, is for self-healing, and since my blog is privatized, cut off from toxic people and I can "smile toward the future 😊 than frown over the past 😞."

Hi Blog,

Yes, today was another chance to volunteer to do another cosplay event. Wow, it was like once a month. Haha... I feel great that I can help out with the event and fully utilize my costume.

Oh mine, I forgot to bring my camera along... But I doubt I will be able to use it anyway. Thank goodness that I managed to get some photos taken during the event. (Credit Aya) My shield is so beautiful :3 shiny and impactful.

Today's event was Bone Narrow organisation's invitation to Pause For The Cause organisation's cosplayers to boost the event in their superhero costumes. I didn't read up or interact with what was this event for, a bit regretful.

Thank God it's Friday! I was troubled about where should I go next. Why so?

I woke up very early for my medical appointment and the doctor would usually give me a day's mc; so I was thinking about my next destination after mc.

Eventually, I can't decide... Wanted to go for island sun tanning or exploration or a quiet hike or go back home and sleep.

Hmm... It seemed hazy... It seemed like our neighbour was burning the forest.

Yes, my trisuit theme post again. Woooo #86! Usually, I will take this time to self-abuse by beating myself with words like ugly, fat, unworthy, etc. How long will I take to find peace with myself and accept that the fact - yes, I am not that great but I am alright; not the worst but I tried.

What's the theme for this post? Yes, beside a traffic pole.

One of the most awkward themed photos to make because of the action of placing my camera when most of the idled vehicles were watching me posing for the pictures and sometimes, there would some passersby sharing the island with me, they would look away to avoid observing some weirdo doing something unusual. Anyway, I managed to complete the theme that will be alright!

Personal - SG Comic Con Prelude 2023 Cosplaying

Today was the day when I could cosplay again. Yes, as Captain Asian or Nerd again which people don't want. D invited me to take this opportunity to take part in such collaboration with Comic Con and Pause for a Care association, to promote the Comic Con event and awareness of PFAC.

I didn't snap photos myself for today's event because I was not sure whether I would get all the photos snapped during the event but I was glad that Mr R snapped it all.

So what would we be doing during this event? Just for photos? 📸 Mainly yes, but they had one event for people to join - a superhero hunt in the mall.

I was thinking through... I shared my "discounted" hiking-only experience on another public blog here. What do I mean by "discounted"? What it means is my hiking posts with lesser-me content. I am still figuring out what to do with my 2nd public blog.

Tomorrow was Voting Day so our school was tasked to become a counting center so we were asked to leave the premises slightly later (half day you may ask). But... On the night day, I had a class to attend... So much time for pocket time.

What shall I do with this time?

As titled, I decided to go for a short exploration at Tampines Quarry. I had visited there for like the third time - The First and Second were in 2017, and the third was in 2018. Today will be my fourth time. I would like to see the changes.

Trip - Day 12 - Japan - Returning to SG

Today was my last day in Japan. I missed this magical place...

Looking at my luggage and my stash -  a paper bag of souvenirs from Japan, a new bag from Donki, Manga from Taiwan and a set of clothing from Taiwan.

Feeling unbalanced and hoping that I can smooch my own emotions. I just felt gloomy like the weather.

Trip - Japan - Day 11 - Tokyo National Museum

Good morning Blog,

I had a good cool night because it started to rain! I was so tired that I didn't want to snap any more pictures and showed our Airbnb because... It was a small department, made just for tourists - small toilet, minimum size for kitchen, no living room, narrow passage to rooms and a room big enough for a king-size bed to be shared...

Anyway, this morning was raining to make my Tokyo stay a bit gloomy.

What were we planning to do in Tokyo today? I guess shopping?

Trip - Japan - Day 10 - To Tokyo

Our Japan trip was coming to an end sooner than expected, and I couldn't help but feel it was a bit rushed. Since none of us had visited Japan before, I didn't get a chance to provide input during our flight booking. However, I made the best of what we had and tried to accommodate everyone's interests in the group.

After our final packing at Airbnb, we decided to get some food from our food source for our next trip to Tokyo at midnight.

We understood that we might not be able to get decent food while travelling to Tokyo in the morning and lunch, so...

Trip - Japan - Day 9 - Gion and Nishiki Market

Hi Blog,

The last stop in Kyoto, was to visit Gion from Kiyomizu and some markets since it is nearby. 

Time to walk again and I can sense the rest got rather tired.

Oooo, I also spotted quite a number of tourists dressed up in kimono, which tends to spice up the place culturally. I think I should get a set of such for my future event. While walking along Kyoto Street, it looks like a typical street in any developed country.

Trip - Japan - Day 9 - Kiyomizu-dera 清水寺

Hi Blog,

After visiting a Kyoto temple and our next stop was something which I was looking forward to. I read somewhere that Kiyomizu is a must-visit spot and it is near Rengeō-in Temple, so I will not miss it.

But somehow we need to walk a distance of 1.6+km

Even though, some of my group members had already started to get jumpy. I can't be bothered and let them make their move to get there. Personally, I will walk to feel grounded than take anything; So some of them decided to hop on the bus to get there and it was understandable.

Trip - Japan - Day 9 - Rengeō-in Temple 三十三間堂

Hi Blog,

Let's continue our exploration at Kyoto, the ninth day of our Taiwan-Japan trip. So where were we heading today?

Our friend's husband, he recommended that we should visit this temple as titled (too lazy to type it out 😂)

He claimed Kyoto has many temples and this one is iconic. I truly agree that Kyoto has many temples and hope I can visit them all in the future.

Trip - Japan - Day 9 - AirBnb and Veg Out

Trip - Japan - Day 8 - Going to Kyoto

Good Morning Blog,

Yesterday night we had a discussion and changed of plan, we were supposed to travel to Nara and leave our luggage in the locker by the station, then travel to Kyoto. But require to pull our luggage for 1.5km to the nearest station to Nara; which is unfavourable among most of them.

So the backup plan will be, to travel to Kyoto and leave our luggage with the Airbnb host then collect at night after we had settled most of the things for the day.

Sounded like a great plan and personally, I will skip Nara for this trip to save money and explore Kyoto (there are WC and ZX) will like to go for a shopping spree and cannot recognize the route that well, so I will stay to take care of them. So Kyoto let's go!

Trip - Japan - Day 7 - USJ

Yes, as titled, our 2nd Day in Japan wanted to go to USJ! Honestly, I can understand the hype of it and I could feel it when everyone woke up early to prepare themselves.

Morning to Osaka. Hmm... Moody sky.

Hope it won't affect our experience there.

Trip - Japan - Day 6 - Osaka

Good morning Blog,

Yawning... Supposed to have a sixth day in Taiwan but that sixth day became our morning rush to the airport to our next destination - Japan. The country which I had been hoping to go to for five, six years ago!

Around 3am... We took a minivan to send us to the airport.

Honestly... Taiwan is so interesting, I hope to visit again.

Trip - Taiwan - Day 5 - ShiFen and JiuFen Revisit

Hi Blog,

After our short visit at Yehliu Geopark, the next stop will be Shifen and Jiufen. What amazed me, is that there is a new express route to Shifen and Jiufen!

The route cuts directly through the mountains.

Because based on my Taiwan visit previously, the bus took a longer route, along the shore for beautiful sceneries... Or I wondered... They just didn't take this route on purpose.
