General History of my Blog
I started this blog because I wanted to join the emerging trend of personal blogging; however, I quickly realized I was a latecomer. By the time I launched my blog, the popularity of blogging was waning as new platforms like Tumblr/Instagram/X/Tiktok began to take over.
If you look at the blog archive at the bottom of the blog, you'll see that I initially focused on exploring my identity and the purpose of having a blog, and I've continued to develop those themes since then.
Reasons for keeping a blog
In 2014, I began posting pictures taken with my mobile phone, sharing my journey and experiences related to my hobbies, products I've used, and various random topics. I realized I wanted to remember where and why I took those pictures. What would happen if my phone were lost or broken? After taking those pictures, what should I do next? Should I just save them and forget about them? This motivated me to share most of my pictures here, which explains the increasing number of my posts since 2014. My blog has become my photo backup plan.
Having a blog helps me practice my English. Honestly, most of my daily activities, aside from teaching, are done in my mother tongue, Chinese. Writing a blog allows me to stay connected to the English language, but please excuse any mistakes I make with tenses and grammar.
I use my blog as a personal space for self-healing, knowing that only I will read it. To be honest, I don’t think anyone would care about what I’ve experienced in my life. My life isn’t as exciting as that of a superstar or an influencer, and I don’t have a model-like figure or appearance. I’m just a typical, single, average-looking, and somewhat nerdy guy. So when I write in my blog, I feel free from judgment, and at least I have somewhere for someone—myself—to listen and engage with my experiences.
So after reading my three main reasons for keeping a personal blog, was it too boring or meh for you? Hahahaha!
Explanation of my Tagged Title
In my blog posts, I tagged each title with a single word to provide a quick insight into the content. Initially, I was a bit confused about how to choose my tags, but over time, I developed a clearer understanding of their purpose and significance.:

Explanation of my Tagged Title
In my blog posts, I tagged each title with a single word to provide a quick insight into the content. Initially, I was a bit confused about how to choose my tags, but over time, I developed a clearer understanding of their purpose and significance.:
- Blog - Anything to enrich the blog content, blog-related or blog improvement.
- Personal - Anything personal besides my hobbies. Somehow random moment of the day if you asked me.
- Trip - Anything trip which I have explored, and usually, it will be my overseas trip or new exploration with some detail on how to get there
- Cycling - Anything related to cycling - cycling jersey, fatbike and product.
- Swimming - Anything related to swimming - including my trunks collection etc
- Hiking - Anything hiking activity which I loved - including my trisuit collection etc
Music - At times, I will write about my favourite musicMovie - If I have time, I will write a movie review too :)- Food - I will try to write some of the food and places, to become an art-time food blogger. Sometimes, I will cook and prepare my own food too. It will be all here.
Maplesea - I would love to write Maplesea-related stuff and gameplay if I have time besides my personal activities above.App - Out of the blue, I will share my app review or usage. Quite random though.- Nature/Plants - Plants related - my carnivorous plant collection.
- Sky - Do I need to explain this???
Hmm, I suspected that about it. I might miss one or two titles, but the titles above are the most significant ones.
