My Swimming Trunk Collection

Yes, today I decided to make a post about one most controversial topics as I also want to end my so-called collection and refresh my content from my previous one since 2017.

Yes, that's my swimming trunk. I learned the reason for purchasing so many of it due to some reasons; some were due to buying for backup and some just wanted to give other brands a chance to try it out.

In the end, I decided to conclude my biased opinion towards my trunk which I had and won't be getting any more new trunks. Stop purchasing and just utilise them.

Here they are! My collection of swimming trunks! Let me showcase these.

Trio Trunks

Let me start with the basic colour. My favourite colour - White, blue and grey. I got these from Shopee. The purpose of buying these is because are cheap and affordable. I only wear these to the beach because the fine sand will destroy any trunk material and wear off the fabric. So I won't want my other trunks to expose such damage. An interesting thing about these trunks is the double layers.

I don't quite like the drawstring but it has a metal end which I like. Sadly, the metal loop for the drawstring will tend to drop off easily. But it is cheap so I don't bother.

Time for a fatso to model in it. Overall, I love this one because it is soft and the side was the ideal length for a shortie like me.

Random Shopee Trunks

Speaking of random trunks from Shopee. I found another pair black and white to serve as my beach backup if I can't get the Trio anymore.

The fabric is thicker than Trio.

The side length is slightly shorter... I can't complain much. It is used for backup so I will just accept it.

Maybe I can use these and Trio as my beachwear.

Arena Trunks

White Arena - rarest and uncommon colour trunk. I got it from Shopee.

Getting this one was tough. Not sure why I had a strong feeling that this one was not authentic at all...

Looking at the side, similar to the white and black trunk above. They just added in the brand...

The feeling of wearing it... like... just meh... I can remove the logo and I won't be able to tell which is which.

Speedo Trunks

Speedo brand white trunk which I got it from Carousel a long time ago.

I love the colour of the band.

The side length is rather thick

because I got it second hand... And it was L... It is kind of loose though... So I doubt I will be able to wear it... It is just a collection to remind myself - I should not waste any more money on L size which I can't fit in. Additional information, the material is getting worse... the elasticity is hardened... it is uncomfortable to wear.

Arigreben Trunks

Speaking of Shopee purchases... I bought one from its recommendation.

The weird thing is that I have not heard of this brand before. I already have trouble reading this name. Hahaha...

Somehow thin side with two blue stripes. Quite interesting.

Overall, this trunk is soft and comfortable to wear but I did some alternation at the bottom of the trunk. It has extra spacing at the ugly crotch area. After alternation, it looks just right.

Desmit Trunks

After buying the unknown brand, Arigreben, I found one online which carries the brand name, Desmit.

This one was similar to the Arigreben brand but I feel this Desmit brand is more authentic and the material is somehow special.

The same two blue stripes at the side break the white underwear overview.

I kind of love this trunk - low cut and comfortable. Now I have two with similar cutting but I will treasure this more. Hahaha.

2Xist Trunks

before I focused on some personal-favour brand undies, I used to purchase 2xist. But overall... its cutting is not suitable for an ugly shortie like me (most of its undies are high-cutting). I noticed they released this white trunk online for the first time! You can't get this right now anymore.

A golden plate to show its authenticity.

Everything about this trunk is golden in theme.

Just look how loud and proud they were when they released this.

Even though the side looks tall/thick its strong wristband compromises it. I must say this is one rare trunk I owned.

Teamm8 Trunks

The Teamm8 brand is new and perhaps the model convinced me somehow to get it. Hope I I will look like him,

The brand and metal drawstring show they are serious and authentic which I loved.

Teamm8... What it means? At least, the metal ring holds on better than the trio.

Usually, I don't go for the trunk which has a middle line but the Team8 trunk model was just too good-looking to make me imagine how I wished to look like.

Kind of disappointed to see such a cheapo drawstring...

But at least, the print of the logo makes me forget about it.

What do I look like? Good?

GX3 Trunks

Ah. GX3 trunk. This one... makes me regret it... I bought the wrong size.

I found that GX3 brand undies are just the right cutting for a shortie like me. When they released a swimming trunk, I could not get it in time and it was sold out in less than 30 minutes... GX3 is smart as they know this trunk was a popular pick, they re-stocked a few times. I managed to get it but it was rather too small fit for a fatso like me... so I purchased again for a bigger size in their next release... Yippee! I managed to get the right size... XL size...

But this trunk is rather too.... translucent when it gets wet. It is so thin... I doubt it will last me for long...

Its drawstring is a disappointment... I guess I won't buy any more from GX3. So it will be my only trunk when I am alone at the beach (smaller crowd)

Overall, I love the cutting of this trunk and it is full of potential but if they can make one with a thicker material, I will get it. The design is original and cool for a swimming trunk.

Marcuse Trunks - Arrest Me

Next is my favourite brand - Marcuse Arrest Me series. Obviously, I started with white and I wore it to the beach before and it got worn off (deteriorating) due to the fine sand. Thank goodness Marcuse continues to sell it online and has newer colour options. I just purchased the basic (I forgot to include the blue trunk here)

I love the thickness of the drawstring. This is a good-quality drawstring at least.

Love how they embroidered their logo instead of printing it - not that loud and golden.

Overall, I love the fabric used - comfortable and decent, and it's cutting - not high and low enough for shortie untoned shxt like me. I can just sell my other trunks away and own these Marcuse trunks; you know it is like you found something or someone who complements you, and one is good enough.

Speaking of Marcuse, there is one blue puggy trunk in their sale list.

The doggy looks so interesting.

Same cutting as the Arrest Me series and a white puggy adds some uniqueness to the trunk.

Marcuse Trunks - Aquaholic

Due to my liking towards Marcuse. Instead of having basic colour and it got discount price... I think a mix of colours might be good?

What a loud way to advertise themselves like Arena/GX3/Desmit/Arigreben -having their name in front of the trunk. It looks nice for now, when the print starts to peel off, that will look awful.

Somewhere thicker though

At least I own something different than basic.

Marcuse Trunks - Captain

Having a different combination Marcuse trunk, why not try out one with a strong waistband?

The only disappointing thing is this drawstring... Why can't they standardise it?

A bit thick but still alright.

Hmmm... I think I bought it to meet the minimum order for free shipping so nothing serious about it.

Marcuse Trunks - Wave

Ooo! Wave! I had this many years ago and it deteriorated after contacting seawater, and I wore it during my overseas trip (here) it was 2015! It was great to find this again on Marcuse's website.

The tones of the blue waves made it unique.

I feel so happy to buy back this wave trunk again. I thought I lost it for good.

Marcuse Trunks - Burleigh Deluze

I found one new series on Marcuse's website. This is special.

The material for this trunk is unique and I can't relate to what material is it... but yet it is so familiar too...

It has so soft and glossy feel.

Since it got a discount, why not get it. But... It is kind of loose... due to its softness. I need to get a small fit will be better.

Marcuse Trunks - Patrol

Lastly, I got myself a unique trunk with a police badge on the trunk.

This badge gives an authentic and special feel.

Getting this trunk to serve as a backup for my white Marcuse Trunk; provides a different option when I picked my white trunk to swim.

Overall, showcase my swimming trunk collection because I am not getting new ones anymore unless... marcuse sponsors me a few, impossible because I already privatised my blog, LOL! But I definitely love my trunks so I can rotate it than wearing one. Previously, I only had one or two but it will wear them off faster and I can't get a replacement too. Hope you enjoy it and don't judge me.
