Hiking - Short Dragon Teeth Revisit

Hi Blog,

Today, Dongsaeng K wanted to visit my house on the weekend to see my plants, and he also wanted to explore a little before coming over. I had some programs during my late Saturday afternoon, so this post will be a short one.

It looks like good weather in the morning, but I predict it will rain in the afternoon—a predictable weather pattern these days.
He wanted to know the actual location of the "Dragon Teeth," and I thought it would be a good idea to revisit some areas as well. If you're unsure which "Dragon Teeth" I'm referring to, you can check the link here: Dragon Teeth Structure (2026).

Hiking - Veranda Banyan Revisit

TGIF Blog,

Something random and impromptu that I did today: I had a blood test appointment in the morning, and since it was a school holiday, I had taken last year's leave to clear. Hence, I decided to clear my leave.

Now was the headache part; where should I cover?
Based on the title, I suppose you know where I'm heading. In fact, there are so many places in my mind to visit, so why did I pick that place? I will explain along the way. You can read my previous exploration of this place (blog link), if you missed it.

Personal - 46th Birthday Reflection

Hi Blog,

Birthdays often come quietly for me. I don’t expect much celebration, but I’ve come to realise that each one is more than just a number — it’s a silent pause, a checkpoint. A moment to ask myself, “Am I still growing in the right direction?”

This year, I found myself thinking more deeply about growth — not just in terms of life experience but through a traditional lens I’ve started exploring: Ba Zi.
For those unfamiliar, Ba Zi (八字), also known as the Four Pillars of Destiny, is a form of Chinese metaphysics that analyses a person’s birth date and time to understand their elemental composition. Personally, I see it not as a fixed label or destiny but more like a reference point — shaped by scholars and generations of observation. It classifies tendencies, character traits, and preferred habits in how we deal with life.

Trip - Abandoned Sport Complex

Hi Blog,

Initially, J alerted me and suggested today's exploration. Still, I had heard a lot of news about this location and was hesitant to go because I felt uneasy about visiting it. But after some encouragement from Chasing Peak, I decided to try it.

Today seemed like the perfect day to go exploring.
Sorry for digressing; I considered posting this on my blog at a later date, but my blogging principles said no! So I determined to stick to it. Anyway, today's vibe was different, so I went to check it out without any expectations.

Hiking - Yishun Forest Again

Hi Blog,

On the first of March, the last day before Ramadan (the ninth month of the Islamic calendar and a month of fasting), I will hike with my friend because I promised to meet SY for a simple exploration.

Today’s weather was a bit moody, but at least it didn’t rain!
As the title implies, Yishun Forest will be a Level 3A experience based on my own Hiking Measurement System and fulfilled SY's desire to try off-trail hiking. Let me show you what a Level 3A hike will look like, and you can also read about my two hikes (Aug 2023 & Aug 2024) to see how much has changed since my last visit.

Personal - Suits for the Theme #107

Hi Blog,

Running against my thoughts. Jogging is often seen as a way to clear the mind, but for me, it’s more than that. It’s a quiet battle between my thoughts and my feet, between what I feel and what I know. Every step I take is not just about fitness but about pushing through the emotions that weigh me down. Recently, I realized that jogging, which was supposed to be my escape, also became a reminder of my struggles with self-image and societal expectations.

It all started when a well-meaning friend shared images of fitness influencers with sculpted bodies, captioned with words about dedication, hard work, and achieving one’s dream physique.
On the surface, these messages were meant to inspire, but for me, they became a trigger. Instead of motivation, they reminded me of what I lacked. I know I should only compare myself to my past self, not others, but it’s hard when society worships a specific kind of "ideal."

Personal - Suits for the Theme #106

Hi Blog,

These were monsoon days, and I was not motivated to go for a jog because the ground was wet or raining... Plus, there were long unfinished posts in December and a heavy workload in January... I hoped to regain my jogging motivation...

I tried to reflect on why I had lost motivation. I know that workload, weather, and unfinished posts all impact me, but I believe it is primarily because I have gained weight. Sigh.
Here's a collection of me in trisuits and jogging, expressing my inability to break free from the fat web... I finished this theme early last year, and now I am looking at my fat stomach... I just started to hate myself...

Blog - December Overview

Hi Blog,

It's the end of 2024... Reflecting my 2024, there were so many things happened in my life. Firstly, the constant chatting with ChatGPT next was travelling... And lastly... Volunteering.

I do volunteer work (for religious groups) daily, and it is my second life, which I have not shared much about on my blog. But this cosplay volunteering seemed to happen regularly, which took away my hiking opportunity...
I suppose I'll need to find a way to balance myself on it. Usually, I don't take on tasks lightly until they can't find anyone else and haven't already fallen short of their responsibilities. Oh well, I hope I did a good job while volunteering.

Personal - Suits for the Theme #105

Hi Blog,

Lately, the frequent evening rain coupled with my busy schedule has left me with little opportunity to go for a jog. Honestly, it’s been quite upsetting. I truly miss my hiking and cycling sessions—those moments of freedom and connection with the outdoors...

Looking at myself now, I can’t help but feel a bit down. I’ve put on some weight, and it’s frustrating. But amidst this wave of emotion, I remind myself that feeling this way is natural, and more importantly, that I have the power to make a change.
Even when life gets hectic, I realize how vital it is to carve out time for myself. Whether it’s a short workout, a stretch, or simply stepping outside for a breath of fresh air during a break in the rain, every small effort counts. Motivation is something we must hold close to—it’s not always easy, but it’s so valuable for our well-being...

Personal - Suits for the Theme #104

Hi Blog,

Balancing the feeling of genuinely receiving compliments while wrestling with that underlying sense of unworthiness or inferiority can be tough, and I know that it's a real challenge. Many people feel this—especially those who want to contribute positively to the world but feel they aren’t quite measuring up. That is why I feel receiving compliments is hard to accept—they seem bigger than I deserve. I don’t have the look, wealth, or abilities that many admire, and deep down, I worry about coming up short. But I’m trying to change my mindset.

Learning to Accept Compliments, One Step at a Time
Step 1: I’m starting by simply saying “thank you” without overthinking it. It's okay if I don’t see myself the way others do—small steps matter. Step 2: Blogging is a positive outlet for me; writing about these feelings helps me uncover the good others might already see. Step 3: I’m learning to agree, even if only a little, with the compliments I get. I may not be perfect, but I’m trying to grow, and maybe that’s enough for now.

Personal - Suits for the Theme #103

Hi Blog,

Looking back on my silly stupid completed trisuit theme post with a heavy heart... Yes, the accomplishment and effort should not be overlooked, but unfortunately... I fell back into the spiral again...

Perhaps it is simply a disappointment with myself... Not to the hate level, but rather blamed myself.
Everyone has accomplished so much, such as having a relationship, feeling wanted and appreciated, taking on a family role, and having a well-paying job, while I continue to sit outside my house, gazing at the small portion of the blue sky which I enjoy...

Personal - Suits for the Theme #102

Hi Blog,

For the past few years, I’ve been on a journey to stay fit while capturing moments of wearing different trisuits in the same spot. This one is my #102 trisuit post, it still amazes me how what started as a small gesture has now become a motivating factor in my life. Looking back at my #1 in March 2018, I realize that it had been six years already!

Yeah, it might seem a little strange, but each photo serves as a reminder that I'm taking care of myself - whether I'm going for a run or just keeping track of my progress.
It's my way of acknowledging my dedication and reminding myself that even the smallest actions, such as getting ready for a run in my trisuit, can have a big impact.

Hiking - More Yishun Forest

Good Morning Blog,

The long weekend was rainy, so I couldn't go for a short hike. But today looks like a great opportunity! So where am I going then?

I had the pleasure of using my new camera and capturing some shots. I must say, it's a great investment! The colour and clarity are just perfect!
Today, I opted to revisit Yishun Forest, and I'm grateful that Elmo (who stays nearby) decided to join me on this little adventure.

Personal - Suits for the Theme #101

Hi Blog,

#101 trisuit theme - just a reminder for myself that I moved on.

Apart from the conclusion of my unfruitful romantic saga, the next chapter that weighs on my mind is friendship.
I haven't identified a clear pattern yet, but what I do know is that people come and go. Especially when many initially seem sincere and eager to kindle a friendship. However, once they received the confirmation or acknowledgement, their demeanour changed and became distant, even though I made an effort to be open and approachable...

Personal - Suits for the Theme #100

Hi Blog,

Can you believe it!? It is my 100th Trisuit theme anniversary! 😂 Are you excited and amazed at how I feel?

Perhaps you might not understand... It is just about an ugly me's collective attempt to jog and plan my jogging route.
Since Feb 2015 when I decided to go for first jogging (post link) or search all my #jogging posts, my physique is still untoned since then, but I'm not waving the white flag and adding on with a #trisuitsuit theme (page link) in 2018 to motivate myself.

Hiking - Revisiting Labrador Nature Park

Good morning Blog,

Today was a public holiday! Yippee! 😂 The best part was that it was sunny in the morning, so we could go hiking!

Last night, my elder brother invited me to go over to his house and help him with the game he was playing, so I stayed overnight at his place.
When I woke up, I thought about going for a hike. Should I try a new place even though the ground is wet from last night's rain? Or stick to the old place?

Personal - Suits for the Theme #99

Hi Blog,

Wow! This is the 99th entry for my trisuit theme! Can you believe that!? Looking back at my collection of trisuit themes (link) what I had achieved... I should not deny or discredit myself for the effort I had put in for years.

This elevator has been a constant companion, motivating me during workouts and work.
I found a sense of security and authenticity within the lift; similar to my blog.

Personal - Suits for the Theme #98

Hi Blog,

I'm convinced that viney spot from my trisuit theme #97 has a magnetic pull on me; I can't escape its allure!

Like this one was at different location but was gone too.
I'm wondering what type of plant this is—it doesn't quite look like other vines.

Personal - Suits for the Theme #97

Hi Blog,

Still remembered that I mentioned that I missed the vine on 15th May of May overview post? It was chopped off... There are many reasons why I missed it...

One main reason was because the vines were evenly distributed like a curtain and not much leaves litter on the ground which used to hide small critters.
I always visit this spot whenever I jogged, and now it is gone. I decided to publish this as one of my trisuit themes to memorialize this place.

Blog - April Overview

Hi Blog,

One fact about me is that I love exploring new places. Perhaps, revisiting some places is also fine with me. Since I keep a private photo blog diary, snapping new photos and sharing my experiences has become my habit.

In my recent posts, I got busier and delayed many posts. Sorry to keep my royal readers waiting.
It actually takes time and effort to sort photos, edit the HTML code to arrange them into tables, draft the post, and do spelling/grammar checks; so it is not like I just post photos and treat them as a photo dump. Well... I can't stop some readers from thinking that I am just trying to seek attention. If you do, please let me know as my blog isn't for you.

As we're in April, I assume whatever you are reading this is a belated update for the month. I'll do my best to catch up.
