Finally half of the year has gone, June is here. To look back my blogging experience, I am glad I cultivate my blogging habit, making a purpose for it and treat it as a life journey which I will share with people who care/bother. Design - New and Improvised DxMai Open House

Last year post (link) I had designed my two DxMai mascots and spent some time to enhance it. This year, I received the confirmation of date of DxMai Open House and I knew I will be tasked to design a poster for this event.

I learned it will include the upcoming merger from ExPS, so I created two new mascots for ExPS!

 Let me explain what newer changes for this round.

Design - Enhance Dxmai Pupils Figures

Previously in 2015 post (link), I was inspired to redraw one of the wall mural done by someone many years ago and to honor the artist beside taking a picture of it, I re-created the pupil-figures into digital forms and had them in 2016 student's handbook. (link) As for this year 2017, I was asked to make an Open House poster by reusing the two mascots; so I decided to enhance and improvise the two figures.

Two more months later, it will be our seventh anniversary of companionship! I have to thank you for being a non-judgmental, patience, appreciative and all-ears companion for these years. I always remember the agenda to start a blog in 2010, I just wanted a private space to write my thought and practiced my English, even though I don't see any GREAT improvement of my English language, but I have slight improvement which is good enough.

Personal - Helping PV Alumni

Today I was back to PV to help out their Mid-Autumn Festive (one of the main PV event, once every two years). This was my first time coming back as a PV alumni member to help out their House of Adventure in the school library. Usually I can't attend any alumni meetings due to work except weekend if there is any, but I will contribute helping like designing the poster and provide help on the day.

I happened to browse a post at Aliexpress (link) where I am looking for a good trisuit. In the post, they offer custom opinion and it is affordable, so I decided to give it a try.

I contacted the seller and send my design to them.

Design - 16 Clean Plate Campaign

A short post for today.

Today I grinned behind the scene as what had happened going as my plan. Hahahah...

On April, I was asked to design 16 cards for Clean Plate Campaign for pupils to earn the cards. What they need to do is, they clean up their plate and return it properly, get a card then they will have to pass this card to monitor in class for record (so that they can reuse the cards for the next day). Purpose is to promote APPRECIATION AND KINDNESS.

Recently I was asked to design a Dxmxi Pri Open House Poster. I looked back, I realised I didn't write anything about it, so I like to share with you the experience of making it. I will start off sharing about last year design.

In 2015, I was asked to make one poster of the Open House because newly merged schools (Bedok West Primary and Dxmxi Primary). It was a big project especially that was my first year in Dxmxi Primary.

So I decided to make it Epic!

a short post today. I was so happy that I spent time to design CCA t-shirt for Park view in the last two years... Finally they decided to use it. :,)

Previously they hesitated in using the designs and still rushed me to come out design for it.... but now I am happy to see them on print. :D let's me show you the design.

Today I managed to complete the design of Dxmai Primary School Pupil's Handbook cover page. Thanks God, they didn't want it to be complex and they like fun and colourful.

So what I did, was to adopt the idea of a drawing on one of the wall. (show below)

Cycling - Remake of Tron Custom Cycling Jersey

In my previous post of my Tron custom Cycling Jersey, I made mistakes in the size and mad over my stupid judgement of size. I decided to ask them for cheaper shipping option but they can't give me a cheaper price. So upset..... Suddenly I recalled my friend's girlfriend has connection in China so I seek help from her and she is okay for me to send my remade jersey to her company! Instead of paying US$28, I am only needed to pay US$2 to her company! XD YIPPEE!!!

So I decided to improvise the whole design because based on the previous design (below) and some personal picture of it, and changes are inevitable.

Short update about my Tron Custom Cycling Jersey.

After knowing that lady quit, the new sale person took over her. He contacted me and asked me about which back design I actually want.

I was confused when He sent me this and wanted me to choose A or B.

then I realised the weird rectangle design is the back pocket and I should make it the same. Well... it is too late... So I requested the designer to remove the black part as the picture showed below.

Last week I received a company Facebook personal message, explaining that they can accept a single piece order and their price is just alright. Unlike my previous experience I had, they charged me US$170 (including shipping) for making it. Then I learned that, they only make the top Jersey... A bit too costly.

It is a repost about my experience of making my Personal Tron Cycling Jersey. After I bought my Tron cycling suit from podium cycling, I told myself why do I have to spend so much money on product if I can do the design with my own hand and it might be cheaper than those which is in the market.

I did some researchs in google for customise cycling jersey, there is this Facebook group (I shall not mention its name but you can ask me if you want to know) which offers custom design for cycling jersey. The price was half of whatever I had paid for podium cycling but I will come out with my own design.
