Hey Blog,
|
Thanks Terence for getting a transport
and it was his Uncle :) |
I was so excited to come to Penang, smell the air of another country! Our first stop was to visit Chew Jetty 姓周桥 while waiting for my friends who traveled by plane.

As I know so far, Chew Jetty is one most tourist-friendly Clan Jetties and it is also part of the Penang Heritage Trail. It is known to be one of the old Chinese settlements on Penang, where home for various Chinese clans. You might read up more information & history from this

On Chew Jetty, you can see many Stilt-houses, long walkway, a temple, shop-houses where sells food, souvenirs and T-shirts etc

Thanks Yaoming for helping me to take a picture of me on an empty deck. :D |

We came to the end of the walkway, where you can see beautiful and quiet harbour. |

Before this coconut Ice Cream, we tried durian puff. OMG!
the desserts over there, are amazing and affordable. |

Oh, haha this one, you can get it anywhere.
Zhengnan (my Malaysian friend) bought it from his campus and it tasted great. |
So sad I can't find the street art on the jetty, oh well, I will try to find it if we are coming back... IF we are... As the time almost noon, the walkway was getting crowded and swamped by visitors. :) We decided to move on as planned to our lunch at
Zen Xin Vegetarian Restaurant.
