Hi Blog,
It has been a while since I worked on visiting Singapore public swimming pools because there are some other places I am unable to visit on purpose, and going there on weekends is a nightmare.
And today, my swimming buddy took me to Bukit Canberra ActiveSG Swimming Pool. |
Allow me to show you around in this short post.
This pool is wide open under the sun and designed with a resort vibe. Additionally, the second floor houses a gym. |
The newest swimming pool will always include a play area for children. |
A lot of ghostly faces here. 😁 |
New and stylish lockers rental. |
Similar to the Seng Kang, Bedok, and Tampines swimming complexes, this facility features a sheltered pool. This means that even during stormy weather, swimmers can swim comfortably even in adverse weather conditions, avoiding unnecessary delays. But the downside is that the water will be constantly cold, which I dislike. |
I really love the lighting here! It shines up to the ceiling, creating such a cozy and welcoming vibe. |
An inviting open lap pool, perfect for swimming. |
Honestly, I dislike the situation here because it is way too crowded! |
After a while, I mustered the courage to undress and simply be myself, despite the judgements and laughter of the parents and other swimmers. I understand how difficult it is to feel exposed in those situations, but embracing myself is more important than worrying about what others think, which I cannot control. |
Sigh... I could not swim enough because we did not have enough room to swim laps and could only soak in one small corner of the pool. So never come on weekend if you want to swim laps. |
Anyway, I am who I am, and I had a good swim. |
There are numerous facilities nearby Bukit Canberra Swimming Complex, including gyms, food courts, sport halls, and garden parks, where residents can gather and relax. It is a lovely location, similar to applying Changi Airport's conceptual ideas to areas near locals.
Meanwhile, if you are interested in the swimming pools I have covered so far, you can find them at the bottom of the post.

Why no swim in Yishun?
ReplyDeleteHaha, one day I will. Going on a Weekend is a bad idea... But I will definitely go for a swim there.
