Product - Game and Watch Repair

Hi Blog,

Do you remember when the gaming industry was in its early stages and only the wealthy could afford exciting, simple Atari consoles that were enough to boost your popularity among families or at school? For me, the closest and most affordable option was this Game and Watch, a simple handheld game that reminded me of my childhood. You can look up "Game and Watch" on Google; I will not go into detail on a topic that my blog cannot cover.

I used to own many Game and Watch devices, but because they are classic items and I wanted to have one for myself, for memory, I purchased this Game and Watch many years ago from eBay before the overall shipping price skyrocketed. I turned it on recently and was shocked!
It was in perfect condition when I got it, but now it has deteriorated. Some graphics were missing or unclear. Funny how life works. I came across a listing from Carousel; this person can assist in repairing this Game and Watch ~ Carousel user - Retro Cool.

This is the Game and Watch: Mario Bros (dual screen). What set this Game and Watch apart from the rest was its double screen! Can play with another person; however, I found it difficult to play solo. Anyway, back on topic: do you see the burn out screen?
Do you see the circular burnout on the screen when angled slightly?
Some missing graphics on the burnt-out screen only worsen the situation. So I googled "repairs for Game and Watch ". So we tried our best to meet up, and he inspected my device, then concluded the issue on his listing.
OMG! It is as good as new!
Although there are some blurry parts (due to some unrepairable issues), the game is playable.
He also pointed out some issues with bubbles, but these will be omitted during play.
The most important thing he taught me was how to preserve the "Game and Watch." The best way to store it is in a tightly sealed container with a dehumidifier, away from direct sunlight.

Thank you for this video. I wish I had watched it when I was younger.
I remember when I was young, I had many "Game and Watch" devices, and most of them had a common issue: the reflectors or screens would burn out. Despite my best efforts to protect them, the graphics still appeared blurry. I thought the problem was a contact issue with the screen, so I would press hard on it until it seemed to bleed. However, no matter what I did, I couldn't fix it. Now, with the internet and YouTube, along with cleaning kits available online, I've come to realise where I went wrong.

For now, I will do my best to preserve this with pride.

Jeff
