Jeffery's Diary: Trip - Universal Studio Singapore Halloween Horror Nights 2019

Hi Blog,

I bet that when comes to October, I will have my annual event which is visiting to Halloween Horror Nights at USS. (if you missed last year HHN8, you can read about it) This year without a doubt, I was back as a RIP guest, thanks D to sign up for us. You can read up more from Dejiki.com

This event, I will use my phone Huawei P30 Pro to capture the whole thing. This image was from my Huawei phone and looked like it is from a poster.

There was a change of title for RIP from RIP tour to RIP Experience. Our guide, Su, explained to us, this time round, it won't be a RIP Tour which you can just skip the queue to enter the houses, they wanted to focus on giving the guests a VIP experience and treatment, so this year it became RIP Experience.

Not bloody scene but hiding bloody body to maintain the "friendly" and family orientated theme for Day time USS. I noticed many kids were scared by the guides and the display.

This year was just bland setup but hey, don't expect so much.

This year they gave us an exclusive card and interesting battery operated lighted lanyard and a glowstick.

As compared to the previous year, last year seemed rugged and better material than HHN9.

I snapped right in front of everyone who was judging me for behaving like a kid; well... I don't care anymore. It is for my blog.

My sis and her GF were the first time be RIP guest and so do, my ex-pupil (in fact is Mr D's ex pupil), WH too, his first time participated in this Halloween night celebration.

HHN9 Opening Scaremony

A simple ceremony with a simple story for the main icon character of an undertaker. Too much visual from above, the sides and everywhere, like kind of lost the focus on the acting though.

Lucky for Huawei, I can zoom closer to get the pictures but slow.

Something was coming.

After the show, after we got a safe spot, we just simply watched the visitors running for the houses but somehow it rained! For the first time, it rained! But that didn't stop them from bashing through the rain for the houses.

Because it was raining heavily, we shall take the rides first. Transformer ride is my favourite. Hope next time I can take the front seat to enjoy the best view. After the ride, the rain stopped and we proceed to the first house.

Simple but a bit bland though.

I still wonder how come they can record/film the walk-through with bright light. Oh well, at least I won't need to pay for session when everything was lilted up.

The Chalet Haunting

Some teenagers went missing in the haunted chalet and what happened to them? You can click here for better inside.

Nice chalet setting. It was nice to experience a local haunting setting. Inside was rather interesting and feeling like a space distortion.

Actually I will love to know more of such local haunted stories so more of this will be great.

Twisted Clown

Many people do fear of clown because of their make-up, crazy unpredictable trolling behaviour, and plus some bad legends about them; and that also created a legendary icon - Joker. You can click Dejiki page to read more.

This was one of the largest haunted house for 2019 and a lot of effort were putting in to decorate the house.

So Coca cola sponsored?

Overall, it was quite well done haunting house. A lot of craziness in there.

Having an oversea theme is a great one. Especially in Singapore, everyone gets a chance to learn about the dark tale from certain countries. I love the last section where you got devoured by the snake.

Hell Block 9

This one was one of the dramatic haunted houses where you can sense the tension from outside the house.

there was dog barking from no where and policeman patrolling. Let's read what Dejiki's sharing.

People claimed it is one of the scariest for this year... Hmmm... not for me. hahahaha!

Managed to take a picture with the Executioner :3 I am such a shortie and uncle-ish infront of him.

Besides those five haunted houses, there were two scared zones. The first one was...

Dead End

Aiya! Forgot to edit and enhance the image but it was a beautiful board.

Something which I like personally, a "plot" for visitors to interact. Time to be buried in a coffin.

This Scare zone was a bit dark, which you barely spotted those wonderers

Death Fest

Loud music started. It was because a dark rock prince was parading for the night when he was free from his prison, very "ra-ra".

This scare-zone was slightly different - it was like a rock performance!

I can only view it at this distance

Don't know why I paid no attention to hear to the music

and just looked at the performance

but... even the performance didn't leave a deep impression

because I tried to rise my hands over the audience's head to capture a few clearer pictures

my phone can't focus well

and many blurry pictures which I had to remove from my phone

Don't know what was happening though

Still love their silhouette performance

Love this one. A parody of IT, he named himself as "That" HAHA funny one.

Next was a group of hot dancers. Love how the background blend with the dance, a lot of collaboration work.

Next, a devilish fiery whip unleashed.

Even though she did some crazy stunts but overall... I heard from my friends, they claimed you can watch such performance in Thailand and it is a very common stunt.

They gave their best for this last dance moves. Overall, interesting and light-heartened performance.

Watching back the show, It was like watching another alternated dimensions of reality, quite refreshing.

After the funny performance, time for a photo session with the HHN9 Iconic characters.

There was one special thing they have in HHN9, they had this carousel funfair for guests and visitors to play with. Too bad, I didn't know there are many others inside.

I guess sitting on this throne will be my next USS collection too

Since HHN8

As we had completed our HHN9 tour. It was an awesome one as usual.

XY and I decided to stay overnight at Sentosa until the first train starts operating, save some money.

We spent some time visiting this Merlion as it will be removed soon... An Iconic feature for Sentosa which will stay in our heart forever. (read the news here)
