App - MomentCam Review

Review time! There are so many photo edit apps in AppStore, mostly come with standard filter effect or tool, some allow you to change the picture style like to comic style, stretching style, cartoon style etc. 

There is one which worth mentioning, that is MomentCam. You can cartoonify yourself into many creative cartoon character and emoticon too. This Chinese app started off on android OS then it went virtual into Facebook, I had seen many of my friends created some funny pictures of themselves and now it is in AppStore!!! 

Let's me briefly run through the app function. You will come to a menu where you can choose to create Comic (the main course), Emoticon (which you can create an animated gif of yourself) or view your Portfolio (where you can find works which you had created previously).

Main Meun

You can browse through your saved files.

When you click on Comic option, they will activate camera mode, front camera (by default), or you may select a picture from your photo gallery. You may also let the app know you are a boy or girl for the right range of selection after that.

They will ask you to adjust the eyes and mouth position.

Take note: if you are taking your own photo, best result will require you to take photo without your hair blocking your eyes or over your eye brows, because this app will capture your eyes and mouth position. They will only pick your eyes and mouth for future editing.

I decide to use my Ugly face to do demo.

In the next screen is where all the excitements and fun come. You can choose your own background, texture and hair style, even the shape of your face are included. They have a wide range of hairs, face shapes, eye brows, accessories and backgrounds. Best thing is they will come out new background frequently and bad things are you can't flip your hair style or change the colour of your hair and resize option.

They will randomly select a background and your hairstyle.

Generally it is a great app to play with and make fun of your friends. It is FREE!

Layout: 4/5 (simple and neatly arranged icon inspite of many choices to pick)
