Trip - Ipoh - Day 1 - Concubine Lane

Continue from the previous post,

Our first stop at Ipoh was visiting Concubine Lane (link) and meeting ZN here.

Clear sky and we can't wait to explore the place!
Long time never see ZN and his GF after that Penang trip, it was great to see them. ZN shared the history of Concubine Lane and only 2nd Concubine Lane is the busiest among all three wives.
Everyone got to know ZN and helped to look out for everyone.
We started from this entrance of Concubine Lane.
Traditional and nostalgic poster spotted at the entrance
Narrow pavement which shares its space with the visitors and shops
ZN, EK and me!
Everyone seemed eager to get out of tight walking space without browsing enough at the stalls at the side
But food does have its own magic to people
Had a great taste of simple sweet tou hua
Let's look up, people!
Spiral stairs - interesting structure to be built which you hardly see nowadays
Here is a short historical background about the lane
this lane is 2nd Wife lane - one of the crowded and popular lane among the rest of the lanes.
Yes! 2nd wife lane!
let's walk to the next wife's lane
but the rundown building was left unattended for many years.
3rd Wife Lane
Seemed like nothing is going on here but... it has some wall arts to have fun with.
This is how 3rd Wife lane looked like
This is First Wife Lane.
No impressive though...
Beside the lanterns hanging there like for years, there is nothing.
Overall it is a good place for dessert and sovereign. Too bad due to the large number of our group, everyone does not taking their own sweet time browsing.

Beside visiting Concubine Lane, there are many interesting street arts or wall art like Penang! Here are which we managed to find; really interesting and creative. When do Singapore ever learned?

Reaching out for the cage
Interacted with the painting
Yippee!
Selling fruits, anyone?
OOOOOOO! A floating pomade!
Carrying the pomade!
Simple graffiti but looked nice
Fly the giant paper plane
OLD TOWN WHITE COFFEE!
Nice wall art to take picture with
Moving to a MUST-GO
Ipoh Old Heritage Clock Tower
Looking back from the old clock tower, you will find a BIG signal of word "Ipoh"

Come on everyone Smile!
Next trip visited the Sam Poh Tong Cave Temple 三寶洞.
