Hi Blog,
It took a while to decide whether I should even get myself a new Spider-Man suit. You might ask me why I would even consider getting a new one when I hadn't had a chance to use it. You are right. Honestly, I always wish to don the Spider-Man suit, but... my physique isn't the type of Spider-Man's... In fact, even in my Captain America costume...
| But mainly because I cannot see without my glasses... Eventually, I will still get one, and I will explain. |
Long story short, I love the design of this Spider-Man suit, and I am trying to resolve my disappointment with my previous purchases. Let me recap with you what I had purchased previously.
| Old photos from one of my long posts (link) about my spidey suit, This is my first Spidey suit that I got for myself; it is like a painting of a Spider-Man suit. |
| Another old photo of my second outfit isn't a Spider-Man suit, but I could wear a Spider-Man mask as well to become Quantum Spidey. |
| Another old photo of my Tron Spidey (link), which I thought I could toggle between Tron or Spiderman... But I didn't even wear it out... |
| Lastly, I got myself Insomniac PS4 Spiderman Costume (link), I love it so much, but it has some issues. It was like that many years ago when I wore it... |
| It has been a while since I wore this because the shoe pad came off and I managed to fix it. |
| Is it now wearable? Hmm... |
| Still can fit in my untoned body... |
| But honestly, it's the neck part of this suit that really bothers me... I mentioned my dissatisfaction about it (link) before. |
| Next is wearing the mask, which I am unable to wear well. In all honesty, after my experience cosplaying as Captain America while dealing with blurred vision, I believe I can manage it. |
| Did you see that loose part around my neck? I spent like ten minutes trying to make it fit, but the back's still got an extra fold. |
| I wish I could capture a proper photograph in a more aesthetically pleasing location than my room... Fat spidey! |
| I appreciate its colour; however, I have concerns about the neck design. Additionally, I am struggling to find an appropriate occasion to wear it as Spider-Man... |
| But still... I got this one from Arachidstudio, but it's weird that it was from printcostume.com? After checking in the Printcostume website... I should purchase the suit from there because there is a similar design spidey suit that is cheaper... Should I regret my purchase choice? |
| (credit images from arachnidstudios.ca) Anyway, back to the main topic of the blog post, this suit is the Insomniac version, and I love this version because of the beautiful design, colours and tones. |
| Let's wear it! |
| The colours are vibrant! I should display my previous version alongside it for comparison, but I also love the previous version for a reason too, which is the realisticcolours. I got this because I like keeping the head and body together instead of apart, unlike my last one. |
| Fatman gets ready to don. |
| Tada! Spiderfat! I love the colour! |
| But it has a lot of issues with that suit... I could not zip up the back... And it is too small for me to fit my head through... |
| I also cannot zip up my back because I cannot pull the zipper! I wish my house had an empty space for photos... It's such an eyesore... Especially when this spidey doesn't have the demigods quality. |
| One more thing, I cannot properly align the eye sockets on my face... |
| After some pulling, it is still not balanced enough... |
| And I finally pulled it right... I really need some help... Neck zip, back zip... I can't do it alone. |
Overall, I really love that new suit. It's just that... I don't know where or when I can put it on. I guess my inferior feeling about myself in the Spidey suit is still kind of overwhelming... Hope I can give myself a chance to try.
Jeff
