Hiking - Failed Urbex Restored

Hi Blog,

In my previous failed hike (link), I failed to find the hidden place in Bukit Brown and since... My urbex exploration life was short... I doubt I will be invited by them ever again... but I was left GPS of that hidden location and I decided to do it myself.

Thank you Mr Sun for still accompanying me.
I will show you the hidden place in Bukit Brown and the second part, was to try to enter to the Old Tata House again (link). By the way, my apology that I have some missing pictures for my second part which might seem incomplete.

Hmm... 🤔 To be honest, I wanted to use you but... Anyway, I will bring you and see whether you will shine or not.
Shall we go now?
Today was rather clear weather which meant we will have some time for a good hike.
Sunny and feeling great because I don't need to top a tee over me! 😂 Feeling so cooling when the wind blows.
So where are we heading to?
If you have not checked on my previous failed attempt, do you want to make a guess? Yes! Today we are going to Bukit Brown again to find the hidden spot.
To think back... Why my urbex life is short...
To be unbiased towards my stupid feeling... Mostly due to my introvert feeling... Or maybe I got rather "frustrated" when others just dismissed my feeling and reminding me that it is all my fault for feeling/being introvert whereas I can just switch my extrovert switches to make friends...
But they forgot one thing... It takes two hands to clap... I tried to be extrovert and "approachable" trying my best to engage but if others just want to stay with their own cliques and distance me, it will end up I just eat my own damage...
Ooo today Bukit Brown seemed rather packed than usual... Ooo! This month was the traditional Tomb sweeping.
To be honest, I also hate myself for having such feeling like I am expecting some result from the effort to turn my extrovert switch... But telling me to dismiss my feeling and label it wrong... It will just spiral within me and I am the only one to face it... Trapped in the whirlpool, trying my best to swim out of it... Is it too much to ask to have a helping hand like a simple of understanding how tough it is for us to attempt to try than being "perfect" and open as the extrovert does?
Anyway... I had arrived at the entrance of the next spiral... Time to get out from my mental spiral and face this.
Today I should be able to find that place. Fingers cross.
Familiar scene but yet unfamiliar because I don't always come here.
Wearing red against the greenery is highly contrasting.
Okay, I stopped right here and checked the GPS given by the urbex personnel.
It seemed like I am quite near but I don't see anything... After a few meters of searching towards the direction...
Finally, I found the ancient staircase! 😂
In fact, it was the remnant of Old Chin Chung Public School.
(Taken from my 2nd camera) It is a beautiful and tidy stairs.
I googled and found out that Rojak Librarian's blog post contained some valuable photos of Chin Chung Public School. Please don't mind, this (link) It worth your time and a book scan of the school from National Library too (link).
(Taken from my 2nd camera) It seemed like... I really don't know how to use it well... plus the pictures look blurry...
(From my 2nd camera) Fish eyes or ultra wide angle is not be the ideal photo, was a bit unnatural...
Compared the pictures side by side... If it was not blurred, might help...
Honestly, this staircase is unique and it looks like a lost civilization.
(From 2nd camera) It does help to showcase how tall the environment is.
Good bye beautiful stairs. :) I will be back again.
That place is beautiful but there are many ant trails along the stair... You can't just stand there without having ants crawling up your legs especially into your socks...
Time's up. I should come here earlier... Now I needed to meet up my friend Dongsaeng K nearby for a short exploration...
Hmm... It seemed like I was too early.
Time to try out the 2nd camera...
I think it will work better with a selfie stick...
Met up with dongsaeng K and passed by this wonderful log...

So where were we heading to?
Yes! We were heading to Old Tata House and for me, I wanted to give myself a chance to see whether I can remember how to get there or not...
(Credit Dongsaeng K) Carrying a brick, hoping it will save us from stepping into a drain... but it was so deep, it won't work.
(Credit dongsaeng K) Just amazed by the massive root system it has here.
(Credit dongsaeng K) We had bashed through thick foliage as tall as us. I am a shortie I know but thanks goodness there is no thorny plants around.
...Due to some missing pictures (which boiled my blood), I will explain the situation here. Just less than a month since I visited there (blog link) there are a lot of changes in the foliage, it got so thick that I really need to bash through... All I relied on, are my instinct and sense of direction.
(Credit dongsaeng K) Thanks goodness, I remembered the route and after this fence...
Finally made it to Old Tata (Police) House. My memories didn't fail on me.
Maybe I can visit here one more time...
Trying to take a few shots here before the rain started
Maybe a good torchlight will help to light up the place.
If not, it will be dark and grainy
The bright area will not have any problem...
Hmm... It got really dark here... We could hear the storm in a distance, trying to tell us to move out and hurry.
I returned to my favourite spring bed and...
(Credit Dongsaeng K) He snapped one for me relaxing on the bed
Aww... Really missed this bed, so springy...
But I can't stay too long too... Dongsaeng K worried he might be lost here
Yeah, will have to bring him around.
Bringing him to some common and interesting places.
Is this chair considered special?
Special to me to make an epic scene, especially with rusty walls and dark surroundings.
Wanted to take some pictures here and oh well, you can check on the previous post here too.
How nice to explore and feel cooling compared to my previous hike.
Can't introduce much places and time constraints.
I can only introduce some highlight
This tree is always included.
Dongsaeng K wanted to visit the hall so no time was wasted, a quick visit and warn him the perimeter of staying away from camera.
(Credit Dongsaeng K) Here is the one picture which I appreciated. If can get such help on photography for my hikes will be great. Even though I am not a model quality.
(Credit dongsaeng K) A nice montage of how thick the foliage was while we tried to get out.
Overall, it was a good quick hike and I believe the foliage will consume it if no one steps their foot again which is better.
I guess I will try to go back again and have good documentation/imagination.
Personally, I feel happy that I will be able to discover the hidden place and possible-revisiting the Tata house. At least... some form of achievement... for this stupid loser.
