As you know, I cosplay as my favourite character to volunteer at some events and go to comic cons to have fun in costume, and I'm kind of forgettable because I'm not a good cosplayer in any sense. But I wanted something special and unique that no one has started yet until I saw a video, which I will share below.

Someone shared this image on WhatsApp and I know I need to become one like this! Something unique and meme. This is Ultraman Heroes - Tang Sanzhan, a fusion concept created by unidentified designers who crafted toy figures and promote fusion like Spiderman + Sailor moon for example.

I was always a fan of Ultraman and wished to be one, but I understand I don't have the physique to dress in it or am wealthy enough to get an awesome, professional-looking one. However, I wanted to become something that people wouldn't skip over and judge based on my cheap costume, so I will go for this one!

After a year, I decided to take out everything and get ready to try on a new outfit.

On March 2024 (link), I got myself an Ultraman Tiga costume. Honestly, the suit design's color was awesome.

Credit T for helping me obtain the necessary monk items from Taobao, which I can't get from my usual online shopping app.

Buying from Taobao, especially this khakkhara staff, really saved my wallet.

I purchased a large ring light for the halo effect instead of an LED light on a reflector.

but but... We have an issue... it does not run with USB...

I thought having a large ring light would be impressive, but if it doesn’t run on USB, it means I can’t use a power bank to keep it powered on the go...

Honestly, I'm so disappointed that I couldn't use this ring light. Since I can't use it... On 5th Nov 2025 (link), I'll donate it to my workplace and pose as if it worked the way I imagined. Just look how impressive it would be if it actually worked.

Anyway, at the end of November, I thought I could try out my additional gear so that I could be ready for the Comic Con... but...

My 1st Ultraman suit zipper broke, and honestly, I was really upset because now I can’t wear it to the upcoming Comic Con... And it is my favourite one... As I can't get this design anymore...

I had no choice but to get a replacement (2nd suit) from Shopee, and they sent me an extra headgear, but it is rather small, so I gave it to our school cleaner, whose son loves Ultraman. I am glad he loves it a lot.

The 2nd suit has a flaw... The sewing work for the fingers is awful...

I tried to invert my palm to verify, but where is my thumb?

They don't bother to quality-check the items before sending them out...

I feel like I can still wear this one rather than underutilizing it...

But I still purchased the 3rd one.

Now I have two.

The top is the 2nd suit, and the bottom is the 3rd suit. In terms of color, I love the 1st one, but it is gone. The 2nd one is nice, but the 3rd one seems darker and has more details.

The 3rd one has no flaw, but the fake abs make me feel a bit... Meh... as if I have the real ones... only in my dreams.

The hands are nicely sewn and it has tones that enhance the depth of the suit.

Time to wear the head mask from the 1st. 

Okay, so the 1st mask's colour totally clashes with the
3rd suit, and for some reason, I can't figure out how to put the mask on anymore. Like, the whole face is supposed to fit inside the mask hole, not just the eyes and nose. But whatever, I'm wearing a head gear over it anyway, so the colour and how I put it on really doesn't matter...

Tada! Ultra-uncle! Not man, but older man. I am fat... The headgear covered my face to reduce judgment from others.

Let's light up my head gear. Awesome! I think I can wear this head gear for any occasion. I think I will keep the 1st and 2nd suit in case I need any replacements. I will try to find someone to fix my 1st suit, as the 2nd one is unsalvageable.

Okay, let's wear the monk attire and start with shoes.

I wondered is this a sock or shoes?

Hmm, do I need a pair of shoes? Because I think that the insole seems rather thin...

It looks like a pair of socks, so I guess I will get a pair of shoes.

Next up is the inner shirt. I thought it would be thicker, but thankfully, it just mimics the real one!

Oh yeah, why did I get it from Taobao? Because our local shopping app doesn't have a blue robe. Usually, it is either yellow or brown, which isn't what I want. This robe is also more costly than the others, excluding the staff weapon...

Okay, it's kind of boring to see an ugly guy dressing up, so why can't I just go straight to the point? Honestly, this is my first time wearing a monk robe or attire, so I thought I would remember the moment when I tried to figure out how to wear it. You can just skip or scroll away.

Now it seems like I am cosplaying as a monk rather than Ultraman. 😂 

Next is this cover robe which I don't know it's name. It is difficult to find a blue version.

Err... It seemed like I don't know how to wear it properly...

After checking how others did it on YouTube, it is not as easy as it seemed. Now I have become a monk with hair. There is a reason why I did it today to test out the stuff because I don't want my mother to get jumpy over the attire I got for myself.

After this, I was almost done. I equipped myself with a yellow counting beads, but they seemed rather small...

Speaking of equipment, let's don't forget this staff.

I wondered if I should spray golden paint on it?

Maybe I will just leave it as it is for now.

Almost completed my cosplay. How do I look? 

Thank you, BP, for utilizing AI to extract this equipment from the initial image. I am considering hiring someone to create a 3D file of these items for printing, with a focus on the shoulder pads and chest as my top priority..

I have so much to work on to make this Ultraman Tang Shanzhan an iconic character. How do I mount a ring light behind me? How do I mount the shoulder pad? There is no one to assist me with my part two expansion of this character. Overall, I could stop at this stage, but should I expand the possibilities?
