MapleSea - Chinese New Year, Year of the Horse Event

This year MapleSea has many events to celebrate the New Exclusive character - Hayato and Kanna and Chinese New Year too. This coming year is the year of Horse, so they come out an EXCLUSIVE STUPID Event: Chinese New Year, Year of the Horse Event 

Event Duration starts from 22nd January 2014, 0900hrs ~ 5th February 2014, 2359hrs. At every 10th, 20th, 30th and 40th min of each hour, there will have a white envelope invitation send to all players by NPC Jia jia.

He will send you to a waiting map for a min for other players to accept the quest before challenge map.

Right before the invitation sent to you, it is advisable to hunt one important drop item from the monsters. You will need the transformation potion to save your life in the challenge map.

Because the rule of the event is to stay alive and be the minority colour in the map to win. Once the monster hits you, you will be transformed back and another hit from monster again, you will be OUT! Meanwhile, try to consume the potion again to gain a better chance of surviving. Otherwise you lose the challenge if the time is up. 

There are four random challenge terrains in different timing.

1st - Normal Terrain

2nd - Ocean Terrain 

 3rd - Narrow Terrain with spring

4th - Snowy Terrain

Stun the monster till 3~5 seconds left, then transform into horse quickly. 

With the help of snowshoes, you can do the 4th just like the 1st, so if you could survive in 1st, you should be able to survive the 4th.(Oh, but if you transform into a horse, the snowshoes is useless, so if you find "slippery snow" an annoyance, then transform into a horse only when needed and at last few seconds: if you feel the need to tank the hit instead, then transform into a horse) (so if you play with friends for the event and your friend is pro in evading those monsters too, there will be 2 high chance to get black horse gift. you can swap with your friends too.)

the 2nd is the hardest to survive, trust me. I mean, it is not easy to swim nicely already, so it is easy to hit the monster when trying to swim away from the monster.(and a mercedes user..... well, double jump proves to be annoyance in ocean.)

sometimes the fishes actually go there as well and you can't see them, but that's ok.
You want to always go low because the fishes drop slowly. If you jump up, the fishes go up with you and they do that REALLY FAST which means it's hard to avoid. So always try to stay high (so when the fishes come you can just move down), and stick to the sides of the map if you're not the only one alive because the fishes won't follow you there unless you're already being followed.

From the website link, Winners will obtain the Black Horse Gift while the losers will obtain the White Horse Gift. EVERY PLAYERS will love to get the black horse set! but....................... Now here comes to the Stupid part from MapleSea.

This game is destined to LOSE! Because the rule is to allow minority to win. To escape from the touch from the monsters, you have to be the only one alive in any horse color at the end and everyone else already died and lost, YOU STILL LOSE SINCE YOU'RE THE MINORITY COLOR!!!! (example if you are black horse)

Good set but lousy game rule! It is impossible to win unless you cheat by hacking!!!

Now All I have is white set..... :(

some tips from wad i observe
pls remember to change to horse during last 5 secs  :lol:
1st: Normal terrain
-can sit big big chair to avoid touching mob.
-if you got dark sight skill, can use it before entering the map, to be invincible.
2nd: Ocean terrain

-this map u need super duper big big chair to avoid touching mob. :lol:
-use skills to: push mob to the centre/stun mob/freeze mob etc
4th: Snowy terrain

Well... Conclusion, you need to have minimum two friends to help you and some players who don't mess up your plan in order to win. If not, stick to white horse set then.

Sigh, so disappointed Asiasoft.... Please get someone who has the vision and brain to handle Maplstory....
