Park - Nee Soon 3G Park

Hi Blog,

After visiting Lower Seletar Reservoir Park, Let's continue to visit the next park, as this 3G Park is nearby, and see what it is all about.

Nee Soon South 3G Park
Not many people know about this park, and neither do I; so it is an opportunity to learn more about it. You may search online for its official details, I will just share my views about it.

I read online about what they mean by 3G. There is no 3G network here. Personally, I thought it meant '3 Generations Park', but I didn't see it written that way online.
That unusual turquoise playground structure here is definitely the main highlight of this park.
Besides the park, there is a mini caged arena and spectators' seats for any potential match.
Not sheltered, so you might expect to see some action from the evening until night.
Singapore's landscape is quite unique compared to other countries, where tall residential buildings with systematic painting styles serve as the backdrop for the playground. What a beautiful and peaceful environment!
Outdoor work-out stations available for the elderly.
But no one was using it despite it being the only sheltered area. Only the crow was resting here.
Some unsheltered, I wondered why.
Quite a basic slide, and safety is a concern for toddlers.
I wondered why this is different from other playgrounds that I know in Singapore. There is a reason. Based on an online source, its concept is origami, inspired by Origamic Architecture, which is a form of folded paper called kirigami.
A nice, smooth slide that has a large space for many kids to climb and slide down.
Hammock corner that leads to nowhere. They should make more of it.
I love this playground; it offers many ways to play and relax. Kids who spend their childhood here will remember it when they grow up.
It requires a lot of energy and effort to make it to the top; really fun playground.
Very interesting perspective, and edgy.
A simple nature shelter might help, but really...?
I give Nee Soon 3G Park a three-star rating. If it is going to function like a park, then a park should have space to stroll and relax. Don't get me wrong, 3G Park doesn't allow strolling, but this element is not obvious; it is just a playground with other facilities.
Alright, done with 3G Park. Nearby, there is another park - N8 Park. Let's go!

Jeff
