Trip - Botanic Gardens Tyersall Gallop Extension

Good Morning Blog,

BP had been asking me to accompany him to the Botanic Garden's new zone for months because his girlfriend would be unable to explore with him. So I agreed to go because I had promised him.

I decided not to write a long post due to the unfinished posts on the Korean trip. But this is a new place, so I should write a long one.
Well, it is already stacked, so having one more makes no difference, right? Today's trip was a general and less detailed one; you should explore it yourself 😉

Since I would be going to a garden rather than a walk with fewer visitors, I would just put on a top to create a less eye-sore appearance for the general public.
I was thinking about my trip to Korea and the content... Stress...
Knowing that I would be going to a garden, I brought the zoom lens and tested it on my Insta360.
(Credit BP) Alright! It is time to go into the Botanic Garden. Honestly, I do not have high expectations for this trip, so I will try to keep it brief. 🤞🏼
BP, are you ready?
Typical safe pavement where others can stroll and cycle.
With a nice pool, but I can not get a good shot here.
If the pond could be calmer, it could act as a mirror, reflecting the large sculpture of swans above the water.
I replaced the lens on my insta360, and while it can focus on the foreground, the side appears blurry or dreamlike. Something was wrong...
Then I tried switching from wide-angle to normal mode, and the results were amazing!
However, the close-up lens cannot focus anything further away, even at arm's length, so it is intended for use in macro mode. Because I carry a phone, I can easily snap it; however, I prefer the wide angle that an insta360 with a zoom lens can capture over a phone. Never mind, I will get back to this topic next time; let us stay focused.
We eventually got lost while searching for a possible route to get there, but we were able to find the entrance to Tyersall Gate nonetheless.
Some useful information about this new space... 🤔
I am not sure what is special about Tyersall Gate.
Oooo! I was completely wrong! There is something cute here!
A giant cempedak! One of my favourite fruits!
(Credit BP) According to the board, "Climb up the Cempedak!" so we are allowed to climb up there!
(Credit BP) It was not easy and luckily, it was not durian.
(Credit BP) Now I can imagine myself in Cempedak land!
One last look at the cute Cempedak melting in the hot sun.
Ooo! Something interesting too!
These seeds are from the Saga tree. There's a Saga tree with Heritage Tree status located at the Singapore Botanic Gardens, right next to the Lady on a Hammock sculpture. Sage seeds are known for their consistent weight; four seeds add up to one gram. In the past, they were frequently employed to measure gold and silver due to their exact weights. It also means "goldsmith" in Arabic.
(Credit BP) I wish my weight was lighter or comparable to a Saga seed.
I find the wooden playground really interesting. The natural and organic design is quite nice!
(Credit BP) Let me try to climb up here.
(Credit BP) It is neither easy nor difficult; simply take it slowly.
The web rope is difficult to climb at first but not impossible.
Since I was up there, let us play like kids and slide down!
Up the playground - there is a Forest Discovery Centre
It is great that they preserved this grand Colonial house.
This building is Atbara, one of the oldest black and white houses in Singapore.
(Credit BP) People come here to take their pre-wedding photos, while I take my own eye-sore pictures.
(Credit BP) I wanted to take more photos here as though I were getting married, but I'll just take a quick one before BP gets sick with me.
(Credit BP) There are many inspiring photography ideas here; I love this place. It is very clean and well-preserved.
Another black and white house nearby
Botanical Art Gallery - Enjoy free admission and air conditioning!
They really preserved this place well.
The whole place felt like someone’s home!
I wanted to have some photos here as if I stayed, but I just wanted to show you the places around.
The area is generally very pleasant and peaceful. I'm pleased it's not crowded, which allows me to admire the detailed antique botanical drawings.
This location is a treasure! Witnessing the creations of botanical artists is truly amazing.
The architecture of the building is both stunning and serene, making my visit thoroughly enjoyable!
A grand staircase nestled between two luxurious homes.
(Credit BP) I once dreamed of living in a lavish house, but I realize it's not what I truly desire. A simple and ordinary lifestyle is what I prefer. :)
I had planned to explore some hiking trails, but the skin tag wound on my neck caused me significant pain, prompting me to return home and work on drafting my Korea trip posts.
I really love this new extension of the Botanic Gardens. It features beautiful buildings and a spacious, quiet environment. Perhaps because it's new, not many people know this place, including the COMO Adventure Grove, which is enjoyable for kids and adults. If I have the chance to return, I would be happy to do so! :D
